How TRIO Began


Eugene W. Graham, Sr. began his career in the petroleum business in 1922, just after furthering his education at Vanderbilt University and DePaul University.  This was after a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy during WWI, where he served as an aviation radioman.  Over the next 90+ years the business grew both in size and communities served.  Today, the third generation of Grahams proudly carry on the spirit of caring, community, and quality.
 
With three generations of Grahams in the business; three main areas of business - fuel, c stores, and car washes; and proudly serving three groups - customers, the community and our teammates, we couldn’t think of a better name than “TRIO” for the new retail experience we’re proud to introduce.  
 
The TRIO retail experience is unique in that we give our customers the convenience they crave, with the quality that will exceed their expectations. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night, our customers are cheerfully greeted by a TRIO employee welcoming the opportunity to serve them.  
 
In the morning, the irresistible aroma of sweet decadence from our freshly baked cinnamon rolls will dazzle the senses. A freshly brewed cup of hot coffee or a cappuccino prepared by one of our friendly baristas is the perfect complement to these tasty homemade treats. We also handcraft fresh pizzas in each store, baked to perfection, available by the slice, the entire pie, or take and bake. The quality of our food, with exceptional ingredients, made from scratch, rivals that of any fine restaurant.
 
TRIO’s retail experience is highlighted by our walk-in cooler stocked with a great selection of specialty craft beers.  The TRIO experience is also different in that our stores are pristine and clean, with restroom facilities that will make you think you’re in a luxury hotel. We truly mean it when we say they’re “best in class.”
 
So why do we put forth such an effort to distinguish TRIO from all the rest?

We are members of each community we serve. We share their triumphs, and we come together in moments of difficulty. TRIO is proud to offer scholarships to local students with our “Fueling the Minds” program. We’ve worked collaboratively with the communities we serve to raise over $4 Million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Our teammates are a big part of our success. Most have been with us for many years, and we have a training program that prepares them to grow and succeed.
 
TRIO offers our customers quality, convenience, and, most importantly, value. We care about each customer that enters our store, and we want to give them an experience that will keep them coming back for more … with a smile.
